Quick post here.  Just thought I would share some interesting, useful, and worthwhile websites folks might be interested in checking out.

Just recently my buddy Greg Wagner has joined me in the “blogosphere”.  Greg and I have worked together at the Nebraska Game & Parks Commission for quite awhile now.  We share ideas often, and we get along great because we are both crazy.  Greg just started his own blog and for those interested in Nebraska, especially Nebraska’s outdoors, you will want to check it out frequently, .

Recycled Fish is a great organization whose main mission is the promotion of a stewardship lifestyle, especially stewardship of our water and fisheries resources.  They are having a “Fish-a-Thon” coming up in September to highlight some of the stewardship issues and do something about them.  They already have teams from half a dozen states participating, including a couple of Nebraska teams.  If you would be interested in participating or donating, check it out, .

Lastly, I just remembered something that I am betting many folks do not realize we have on our Nebraska Game & Parks Commission website.  We have angler recognition certificates that anglers can create for themselves or for their fishing partners.  These certificates are different than those given out through our Master Angler Program, and are another great way to recognize notable catches.  For example, an angler can build their own certificate, including a picture, for a child’s first fish, or maybe Uncle Joe’s personal best largemouth bass, or your buddy’s puny little perch caught on your last fishing trip, .
